Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring and air-conditioning. Each room provides a yukata and a space heater for cold weather. Bathrooms are shared, but heated toilet seats are available in the corridors.

Guests at Shukubo Komyoin can join the evening meditation session at 7:30 pm led by a monk. Morning sutra reciting begins at 7 am, followed by the fire ritual (goma ceremony) at 8 am. These ceremonies are free and included in the stay.

Onsen Hot Tub and Garden Setting

光明院 has an onsen hot tub open from 4 pm to 9 pm for guests to use. A koi pond and garden offer quiet spaces for relaxation outside. Free on-site parking and a vending machine are also provided.

Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin is a short walk from the start of the atmospheric path to Okunoin Temple. Bus stop number 9 is very close, giving access to major Koyasan attractions. Kansai International Airport is 39 miles from the temple.
